I want to introduce you to (if you don’t know already) a figurative oil painter based in Louisville, the incredible Debra Lott. I am so in awe of her work, and I invite you to explore her website: debralott.com

It’s difficult to articulate how something touches you emotionally, but I do know that when I look at Debra’s paintings, I feel as if I am living inside them. She paints with such feeling and if I stare long enough, I cry. Debra has a series called “Dreams of my Daughter” and a particular painting called “Blue Heron Dreams” deeply connected with me when I saw it. I reached out to Debra to tell her so, and sent her this song. I am beyond honored to reveal that this unbelievable painting is the artwork for Fountain of Youth! I still can’t believe it. Thank you, Debra. I’m so grateful.

Fun fact: This painting is going to the MOON! "Blue Heron Dreams” will be among 76 artworks sent to the moon as part of "The Nova Collection" time capsule. Wild. 🌙
